Christmas Sock Gift Boxes

For Thought Fashion's AW19 collection, I illustrated a range of Christmas-themed sock gift boxes, which were successfully manufactured and sold online to retail customers, as well as bought and sold in-store by many wholesale stockists, including Fenwick, John Lewis and Debenhams.
The brief was to illustrate a sequence of three London Christmas scenes, each set in a different location: a cosy living room, a famous London cityscape, and a snowy landscape.

The Artwork
I decided to use a clean, painterly style in monochromatic tones, but added pops of colour to tie the designs together and give the set an overall unified look and feel. I used a combination of traditional and digital illustrative techniques to create the artworks, whereby I firstly hand-sketched the drawings on paper, used watercolours to create shadows, highlights and texture, scanned in the artworks, and then assembled the layers together in Photoshop to create a complete composition.
