Flower Bridge

This is a landscape painting I created using acrylic paints on a 18"x15" canvas. I used many different colours to bring the image to life and focussed on reflections, light, shadow and texture. To create the flowers, I dabbed the paint brush onto the canvas, which also gave some 3D texture to the painting. The river flows through the bridge and fades into light in the distance, which I feel creates a strong central focus to the image, and could be interpreted with symbolic, heavenly connotations.
